Return Conferences

December 9 Conference Briefing

Thank you for making the inaugural Defrag conference a huge success! Over one hundred people gathered at FUTURE: Center for Design & Technology Transfer @ The Cleveland Institute of Art to participate in open conversations to identify and connect Ohio resources and capabilities in rich media. The Defrag program covered a wide range of topics focused on rich media and economic development.

If you have not filled out the evaluation survey please take a minute to do so. This will assist us in designing the most efficient use of your time at the April conference. Participant evaluations are open ended. Read what others have said about their experiences at Defrag.

Save these dates for upcoming quarterly Defrag conferences in 2007

  • Friday, April 13 & Saturday, April 14, 2007, Lorain County Community College
  • July 2007, Youngstown State University
  • October 2007, Ohio University, Athens, Ohio

Here are some ways you can stay connected until our next meeting in April:

  • Participate in Near-Time a collaborative online workspace for updates and project work. We will be sending out invitations to all participants.

  • Defrag Ohio blog tells the stories of how people are innovating in new and different ways.

  • Look for Defrag e-mail updates in your in box.

We've gathered information that will be useful as you connect to Ohio resources and capabilities in rich media:

Defrag Ohio social network map is a visualization of the collaborative relationships of the conference participants. If you would like to be better connected to Ohio rich media, take the survey and be a part of the map!

Talent Portal lists opportunities to connect with resources and jobs. Send your information for posting.

Meet The Bloggers interviews are recorded conversations of government and business leaders talking about how they are connecting to the Defrag network.

The Defrag Registration List 20061209.xls provides names, organizations, companies and web links of participants. This information will enable you to connect to colleagues faster.

PLACES - Where are the cool places/hot spots. virtual and actual? (Ex. buildings, websites, businesses)

What would a cool place/hot spot look like? What resources would a quality, connected place have?
