Subject: Moving on after Defrag...
Good morning. As a quick introduction, I'm Alan Glazen, the founder of Glazen Creative Studios. We're the area's largest producer of video content. Our clients include almost every major company and organization in the region, plus we are producers of documentaries for PBS in New York City. We've been around since I founded the company back in 1972, when I was the young maverick as are many of you today.
"Defrag" was my introduction to this emerging creative community in Cleveland, and I was really impressed. It occurred to me that I really had missed the boat by not becoming acquainted with many of you years ago, but I'd like to make up for lost time.
Here are some opportunities which are available through me and my company, and I invite you to contact me if you'd like to explore any of these directions...
1. All of our work is video, primarily documentary, and we need to be exposed to other content which would enhance our product. I am speaking of various forms of animation. I saw a lot of magnificent work at CIA, and I'll bet there is plenty more where that came from. We want to see your reels and discuss how we might send work your way. Glazen has a very powerful marketing component and we are already trusted providers to many very significant clients. If your work is of the highest level, we would embrace it.
2. If you require video content for your work, you'll find no better team in the region. We have 5 digital edit suites, based in both Final Cut and Avid. We'd welcome opportunities to team up with outstanding
people on high end projects.
3. As a creative director of many years (and member of the AAF Advertising Hall of Fame and receipient of over 50 ADDY, EMMY and other seemingly legitimate awards), I am available to provide leadership for projects which might call for marketing or communications guidance, i.e. the big idea.
4. An immediate opportunity is my new project in New York City. I am a producer for PBS there, and am creating a new series, which has already been embraced by PBS. It calls for an amazing web component which I believe will take the form of an elegant and breathtaking animation theme. Think "subways".
5. Finally, I personally have provided funding for a variety of good investments in the creative and high tech arenas, and would be glad to review your proposals.
I noticed that almost everyone at Defrag is associated with a very new company, and that there were few, if any, people like me, who can provide a bridge between the best of the old and the best of the new. My company has re-invented itself numerous times over the past 35 years, and has always strived to represent the very latest in creativity, artistry, professional savvy and and technological excellence. We don't want to be left behind as you young men and women start taking over the world!
Bottom line: please accept this as an invitation to contact me directly for anything that might spark our fancy.
